GENERAL

Q: Is there a minimum number of hours required to book?

A: Studio 1 is available for half or full day rentals. Studio 2 photography rentals require a minimum rental of 2 hours. Contact us for extended shoot rates.

Q. During what hours am I able to shoot?

A: The studio is open for bookings 24 hours per day, 7 days a week and is available via Appointment Only.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

A: 50% non-refundable deposit is required for all rentals. We will do our best to accommodate date or time modifications for your booking, but due to high demand we cannot guarantee availability. A rescheduling fee may apply

Q. Do I need insurance?

A: Insurance is required for photo, video and event rentals. If your event or production is not insured we are happy to offer you an affordable policy to cover your risk. Please inquire for rates.

Q. What is your security deposit policy?

A: All rentals include a temporary hold on your card to cover excessive cleaning or repairs that may be required following your rental. If there are no issues, the hold is removed at the end of the your rental. Security deposits are: Podcasts - $100+, Photoshoots $250+, Video shoots & Events $500+.

Q: Can I visit today to see your spaces?

A: Tours are by appointment only and based on availability as we do not interrupt other bookings for tours. Please email us at info@planetx.life to inquire about setting up a time for a tour.

Q: Is parking available?

A: There is minimal street parking but several garages located in the nearby vicinity. Please click here for a map and list of nearby garages. There are also limited parking spots dedicated for the studio, however, please inquire regarding availability prior to the shoot.

Q: Where can we order food?

A: DeKalb Market is located just across the street and offers a wide range of fare from (40) unique food stalls. Our clients also typically use seamless.com or grubhub.com to have food delivered. Ask us about catering needs for larger parties or extended shoots.

Q. Are there any hidden costs or fees?

A. Quite simply - No. When you make your reservation it lists any equipment or amenities included for your shoot or event. The only costs you may incur are for your equipment rental needs or overtime rates if your shoot goes past your allotted time. If the studio requires significant cleaning that is out of the ordinary, a cleaning fee of 1 additional hour may be added. Clients are responsible for any damages caused to equipment and studio facilities (this will be deducted from the security deposit that is a temporary hold on your credit card collected when the reservation is made).

Q. Can I bring outside equipment?

A: Bring whatever equipment you would like into the studio but please let us know of any requirements you may have for load-in/out. Ask us for our discounted rates on all equipment available in-house for our clients.

Q: I forgot a piece of equipment - where should I go?

Please check out equipment inventory and rates. If you don’t see what you’re looking for we’d be happy to help source it for you.

GREEN SCREEN AND PHOTO/VIDEO STUDIO

Q: Can I come early to set up for my shoot?

A: No, please account for setup, breakdown, and cleanup time when booking. We’re able to keep our rates down by only having our staff on-call during the hours our clients have booked.

Q: Do I have to set up my own shoot or will your staff do it for me?

A: Yes, you are responsible for setting up and breaking down and cleaning up your shoot. We provide setup and breakdown for projector, white board, and in-house TV screens. A member of our team is always on-site to assist with any questions about our equipment or facilities.

Q: Do you have additional decor or decorations available?

A: Please inquire when you book the space so we can create a customized quote for you.

Q: Do you have a make-up room?

A: Yes, we have a make-up room with two stations. We can recommend a make-up artist, or you can bring your own.

Q: Do I need insurance?

A: Yes, we require a COI (certificate of insurance) for all bookings. You can secure the proper COI here. We also accept corporate insurance or can sell you production insurance by the day.

Q: Do you require a damages deposit?

A: Yes, photoshoots require a minimum $250 deposit and videoshoots or events require a minimum of $500.

Q: How far in advance do I need to book the space?

A: Because of high demand, we suggest booking at least two weeks prior to your desired date(s). If our spaces are not available for your desired date(s), please feel free to check back closer to the date in case of any cancellations.

Q: Do you have projectors and TV screens I can use?

A: Yes! Please request when booking.

Q: Can I have rental furniture delivered for my shoot?

A: Sure! But please coordinate drop off and pick up times with our facility manager.

Q: What colors of seamless paper do you keep in stock?

We always guarantee availability of Super White, Black, and Fashion Grey. Various colors are available for use but specific colors are not guaranteed. If you would like an alternate color we can arrange for a fee.

PODCAST STUDIOS

Q. Do sessions come with an audio technician?

A. Yes, if you prefer to have one of our technicians operate your session, please select that option at checkout. You won't have to worry about anything technical - just your content.

Q. Is editing included with the session?

A. Audio and Video editing are not included with our rental as most clients won’t require much of this. Editing is available with an additional hourly fee for those looking for a full turn-key experience. Our Audio & Synced video option includes a fully synced publishable file with intro logo & name/title graphics to start your show. Talk to us about your customized needs and we’ll find a way to bring your concept to reality.

Q. How many people can be recorded at the same time?

PODCAST A: Four people at a time (additional mics upon request). Four additional guests can be seated.

PODCAST B: Four people at a time (additional mics upon request).

Q. Do you have a phone line to record people remotely?

Yes, we can record calls directly off any smart phone. Just let us know what your specific needs are when booking.

Q. Is smoking allowed?

A. Smoking is not permitted on the premises except in our outdoor designated smoking area.

Q. Does the studio own the content that is recorded?

A. No, all content recorded is considered the property of our clients.

Q. How long does it take to receive audio and video files?

A. If you don’t require editing, the raw files will be shared to you immediately after the session. We recommend bringing your own mini-usb or mini-sd card each time or you can purchase one from us for just $10.

For edited or synced files the turnaround time is no later than 24hrs.

Q. Can we have people that aren't recording in studio?

A. Yes, but please be advised that we do not have a separate waiting area. We do have a couch and some additional chairs for non-recording guests. However, they must be silent during the recording to avoid interference and you must let the studio know of any non-recording guests prior to your session.
